On Monday, November 2, 2020 , Langston Hughes MS AVID teachers handed out first quarter Scholar Awards to AVID students . Students were recognized by school staff and teachers in some of the following categories of grades, persistence, hard work, grade increases, kindness, encouragement, professional emails, participation, leadership, etc.   Students came to their local elementary school to receive their Scholar Awards and a treat.
