Middle School Sports
Cross Country & Track
Spring Track
Spring Track will begin the first week of April.
Students and parents will need to complete several steps prior to participating in Spring Track, including:
- A completed FCPS Middle School Sports Athletic Participation/Parental Consent/Physical Examination Form (PPE). The exam must be completed by a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician’s assistant per school year. Please note that the form must be dated on or after May 1, 2024 for the 2024-2025 school year. Form must be submitted to the Main Office in care of Mr. Glenn.
- Each student-athlete and a parent/guardian will complete a registration process that includes the state-mandated concussion education program and Emergency Care Card information before the student participates in middle school sports. Form must be submitted to the Main Office in care of Mr. Glenn
- Student-athletes in FCPS are required to be covered by medical insurance. If your student is not covered by another plan, parents may want to consider if purchasing voluntary student insurance is right for their family.
- Each student-athlete and a parent/guardian will review the FCPS Middle School Sports Athletic Health Education Program prior to the student’s participation in middle school athletic activities. (Note: the document does not meet FCPS web accessibility standards at this time. If you need help interpreting this content, please contact us and we will aim to respond within 2 business days. - A parent/guardian will complete a Spring's Track & Field registration form (regardless of whether you participated in Fall Cross Country or not): FCPS Track and Field Registration Form
We will have an interest meeting prior to the start of the season.
